Ormus Villa is situated just 20 meters from the sea, with a pristine, untouched beach right in front of the villa. Additionally, the closest organized beach is the beautiful sandy beach of Panormo, located only 300 meters from the villa.  The beach is fully organized with sun beds and umbrellas. In Panormo there are actually two main beaches and a few smaller ones. As its Greek name implies (means a place with a natural port), Panormos is a natural harbor with calm water. The harbor (Limanaki) beach serves as the port of the area. It is sandy and the sea has clear water. It is ideal for families with small children, as it is shallow and its cement pier protects it from waves.

The second main beach named Limni is located just 200m west of the village. Similarly to Limanaki Beach, it’s sandy, and well protected by a rocky pier. Both beaches are within walking distance from the property, and well organized with showers, umbrellas, water sports, and many options for food around. Even further to the east, there is a small cove with a pebbly beach, ideal for seclusion and snorkeling.

Spilies Beach (7 km): A pebbly beach surrounded by dramatic vertical cliffs, Spilies Beach offers crystal-clear waters and unique cavernous rocks to the west. The beach is partly organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, and a small canteen serves refreshments. Beyond the beach, you'll discover sea caves and stunning rock formations to explore.

Geropotamos Beach (11 km): Named after the river that flows into the sea at the east end of the beach, Geropotamos features a small sandy beach with cool, crystal-clear waters, thanks to the river. The beach is semi-organized with umbrellas and a canteen offering food, drinks, and snacks. Despite its easy access, the beach remains quiet and uncrowded, though it can be affected by north winds.

Bali Beach (13 km): A scenic coastal village surrounded by mountains, Bali offers several small, organized beaches perfect for swimming. With its numerous tavernas and shops, it's a charming destination for a day of relaxation.

Rethymno Beach (18 km): A long, organized sandy beach that stretches more than 20 km from the town of Rethymno eastward. Here, you'll find a variety of beach bars, water sports facilities, and quieter spots to enjoy, offering something for every type of beachgoer.

For those seeking to explore Crete’s more remote and natural beaches, the island’s south coast is home to some of the most beautiful, unspoiled beaches, including Schinaria, Damnoni, Triopetra, Agios Pavlos, and Preveli. Located about an hour's drive from the villa, these beaches are near the village of Plakias, where you’ll find local shops and tavernas.
